PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical information recording medium whose density is double that of a recording medium in conventional cases by a structure wherein a recording layer is formed in such a way that a first recording layer whose transmittance is high with reference to a recording and reproducing wavelength and a second recording layer whose transmittance is lower than that of the first recording layer are laminated in this order. SOLUTION: A first recording layer 3 is formed on a substrate 1, and a second recording layer 4 is formed on it. The first recording layer 3 is formed on the substrate 1 when a laser beam is irradiated from the side of the substrate 1, and its transmittance is high with reference to a recording and reproducing wavelength. As its material, it is preferable to use an ultraviolet curing resin or an organic pigment. The second recording layer 4 is formed on the first recording layer 3 when a laser beam is irradiated from the side of the substrate 1, and its transmittance with reference to the recording and reproducing wavelength is lower than that of the first recording layer 3. As its material, a phase change material is preferable. |
