The tipping device (1) provides a tipping movement about at least one axis using a tipping platform (2) supported by an elongate holder (7) for movement relative to a base, provided with at least two rectangular stabilising elements (4a,4b,4c,4d) at relative spaced points. Coupling elements (6a,6b,6c,6d) between the stabilising elements and the holder engage the latter at different heights, the tipping provided by movement of at least one stabilising element, at least one other stabilising element remaining stationary for defining the tipping axis.
