PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the manufacture of photovoltaic device having excellent electromotive characteristics at the low intensity of illumination, by reducing the leakage current due to the existence of a defective part such as a pin hole, etc., in the photovoltaic device extending over wide area. SOLUTION: In this method, a photovoltaic device 200 formed on a substrate 201 of at least the first electrode layer 202, a semiconductor layer 203, and a second electrode layer 204 is immersed in an electrolyte 207 so as to manufacture a photovoltaic device having the step of removing a short circuit due to the defectives 205 of the element 200 through the effect of electric field. At this time the quantity of the first component and the second component in the electrolyte 207 are adjusted so as to obtain a specified hydrogen ion concentration of the electrolyte 207 electrically melt down the component in the second electrode 204 by the first component 202. |
