<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remarkably shorten the cutting length of a pipeline in a ball valve having a valve element at a central part thereof and having a connection part to a pipeline at both ends thereof by providing one end of a valve casing with a purge hole and providing the other end with an adapter connection part, and connecting a short pipe adapter to the adapter connection part. SOLUTION: In a sector valve 20, a ball valve element 22 is housed in a valve casing 21 freely to be rotated through a seat ring 23, and one end of the valve casing 21 is provided with a purge hole 25 in the outer wall thereof, and a connection part 26 to an existing pipeline 13 is provided at the end. The other end of the valve casing 21 is provided with a flange connection part 27 at the minimum distance from the valve element 22, and an adapter 30 capable of being fitted on the existing embedded pipeline 13 and provided with a purge hole 32 in the upper part thereof is connected by flange connection. At the time of use, after cutting the existing pipeline 13, the adapter 30 is fitted on the existing pipeline 13, and after arranging the valve casing 21, the connection part 26 is connected to the existing pipeline 13, and the flange connection part 27 is connected to the adapter 30, and an end connection part 35 is connected to the existing pipeline 13 so as to conclude the connection of the pipeline.</p> |
