摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a nonlinear error by generating a quasi-chopping wave signal by a chopping wave signal generating means according to such conversion rules as to compensate the nonlinearity of a millimeter wave signal oscillator, and modulating the frequency of the millimeter wave signal oscillator. SOLUTION: An analog chopping wave signal is generated by an analog modulation signal generating part 20, and a millimeter wave signal oscillator 21 is modulated in frequency by the chopping wave signal to generate a millimeter wave signal. A transmitting antenna 22 sends out the millimeter wave signal, and an input signal of reflected wave from a target 23, received by a receiving antenna 24, is demodulated by a remodulator 25. Nonlinearity generally exists in the millimeter wave signal oscillator 21, but in this case, a nonlinear error is compensated by generating a chopping wave (quasichopping wave) signal following conversion rules predetermined to compensate the nonlinearity of the millimeter wave signal oscillator 21. The nonlinear error is not therefore generated even if expanding the modulation deviation of frequency modulation.</p>
