The control element comprises a flexible sleeve (1) connected to a housing (11). The control element moves axially relative to the flexible sleeve and has a stopping tube (8) which limits the movement of the control element. The stopping tube is made from a non-metallic material which may be cut with a knife and the housing has a slit (14) in which the control element moves.
