Deodorant preparations contain (A) glucosamine hydrochloride (GH) as esterase inhibitor and (B) at least one further active agent selected from odor absorbers, enzyme inhibitors, antimicrobial agents, antioxidants and antiperspirants. An Independent claim is included for the use of GH as esterase inhibitor in the preparation of deodorant preparations.
