PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile transmission/reception system which eliminates waste due to the difference between the size of transmitted picture data and the size of a form in which data can be outputted on the reception side. SOLUTION: When a document is transmitted, a system control part 8 of a facsimile equipment 100 on the transmission side can obtain the form size, in which data can be outputted by a facsimile equipment on the reception side as the transmission destination, and information of the presence or the absence of the output form. Consequently, an operator on the transmission side can output transmitted picture data as a document of a desired size by the facsimile equipment on the reception side because it can previously recognize the conditions of the form size in which data can be outputted by the facsimile equipment on the reception side, the presence or the absence of the form, etc.
