PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a product developing time by a method, wherein direct radiation sound from a compressor is reduced to a value equal to zero without limit and a design parameter related to soundproof performance is limited to only the degree of a vacuum, in a sound arrester for a compressor attached to the bottom plate of an air conditioner and a refrigerator. SOLUTION: A compressor 3 is mounted on the bottom plate 1 of an apparatus via a vibration control rubber 2. The compressor 3 on the bottom plate 1 is surrounded with a case 4 welded to the bottom plate 1, and the upper end opening of the case 4 is covered by a cover 10 via a packing 11. The internal space of the case 4 is reduced in pressure by a vacuum pump 13, and a pressure reduction state is maintained by an opening closing valve 9. To prevent propagation of vibration of the compressor 3 to the case 4 via a discharge pipe 5, a suction pipe 6, and joints 7a and 7b, either the pipe lengths of the discharge pipe 5 and the suction pipe 6 are made sufficiently long or the discharge pipe 5 or the suction pipe 6 form a flexible pipe. |
