PURPOSE: A rotary drum dryer using a hot wind is provided to have simple structure without using a steam boiler or a hot wind blower and to improve thermal efficiency by blowing a hot wind, the mixture of combustion gas and air directly into a rotary drum. CONSTITUTION: Flames or combustion gas generated by ignited diesel oil, LPG(Liquefied Petroleum Gas), waste oil or burnt waste tires are diluted by external air in a mixing chamber(33). The hot wind is blown through a hot wind injection port(30) on a rotary drum(10). The hot wind is dispersed by colliding with a hot wind shielding plate(55) of a hot wind distributor(50). The hot wind shielding plate has a conical shape of center to disperse a hot wind in a 360-degree direction by colliding to the shielding plate. The dispersed hot wind blows to the rear side through plural hot wind guide paths to heat the rotary drum. Sludge type waste matter to be dried is put into a container(25) through an injection port. The rotary drum is rotated in a specific direction by a driving motor(49) and a power transfer unit(45). The waste matter is adhered to the heated surface of the rotary drum to be dried. The waste matter is piled upon a storage tank. The evaporated steam from the waste matter is discharged to outside through a hood(23) and a duct(24). Therefore, the thermal efficiency of a dryer is enhanced.
