PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid container material made of paper having shading properties even if an aluminum foil is not used, capable of preventing the deterioration of content due to the transmission of light, having no problem in disposal after use, having good processability and having no problem from a visual aspect, and a liquid container made of paper. SOLUTION: The liquid container material made of paper is constituted by laminating a surface thermoplastic synthetic resin layer 3, an outside cardbord layer 4, a colored resin layer 5 containing a shading color pigment and a white pigment and an inside cardboard layer 6 from the outermost surface side and laminating a liquid contact thermoplastic synthetic resin layer 7 on the innermost surface side and the liquid container made of paper is molded using the liquid container material made of paper.
