PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of transmitting a digital image to a reception side using a transmission side printer. SOLUTION: In this method, a memory card for a digital camera is received by the printer, the image stored in the memory card is transmitted to the reception side via a network, and a hard copy of the transmitted image is thereby printed automatically by a reception side device. The transmission side printer is preferably to copy with the Internet in its favorable embodiment, and the image is thereby transmitted directly from the transmission side printer to the reception side printer. As one example, the reception side printer includes also a printer capable of coping with the Internet. Printer-to-printer transmission is allowed in the embodiment therein.
