MOTORCYCLE HAVING SYSTEM FOR COMBUSTION DIAGNOSIS AND KNOCK CONTROL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-cylinder V twin air-cooled motorcycle engine capable of forming a controller for performing knock control. SOLUTION: This engine has a housing and a first cylinder and a second cylinder having a first combustion chamber and a second combustion chamber, respectively. Furthermore, it is provided with a spark generation circuit provided with spark plugs 220, 225 having spark gaps 230, 235 exposed for the first combustion chamber, an ion detection circuit provided with a spark plug to operate in such a way that an ion signal displaying an ion current generated over the spark gap is generated, and an analysis module connected with the ion detection circuit. The analysis module receives the ion signal and analyzes the ion signal and can operate so as to determine whether non-combustion event occurs in the first cylinder or not.
