QUICKLY HEATING METHOD AND DEVICE OF COLD CATHODE FLUORESCENT LAMP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quickly heating method and apparatus of a cold cathode fluorescent lamp, by which a boost current is supplied to the cold cathode fluorescent lamp only when required in the state of cold start. SOLUTION: A value corresponding to an actual luminance of a cold cathode fluorescent lamp is compared with the target luminance level 30. When the cold cathode fluorescent lamp is judged to operate in the state of start, boost power is supplied to the cold cathode fluorescent lamp until the cold cathode fluorescent lamp outputs the target luminance level or until a power supply time-out element 40 judges that the lamp is no longer in the state of start.
