摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery of high capacity, having superior battery characteristics such as the charging and discharging efficiency, the cycle life, the flatness of the discharge voltage, and the quick charging and discharging cycle. SOLUTION: In this lithium secondary battery comprising a positive electrode 4, a negative electrode 6 including a carbonaceous material storing and releasing lithium ions, and non-aqueous electrolyte, the carbonaceous material is the powder having a face internal d002 between (002) faces in a graphite structure by the X-ray diffraction within a range of 0.335-0.336 nm, a ratio of peak intensities (P101/P100) of (101) diffraction peak P101 and (100) diffraction peak P100 is 2.2 or more, and a ratio (La/Lc) between a length La of crystal in the a-axis direction and a length Lc of crystal in the c-axis direction is less than 1.5.
