PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical secondary battery that has higher weight energy efficiency. SOLUTION: In the cylindrical secondary battery equipped with spiral electrode plate group 1 wound with a positive-negative electrode plate 5 through a separator 7, the above positive-negative electrode plate is provided with a electrode plate base substance having a plurality of electrode plate ears and an active material held by the electrode plate base substance. At least one of the electrode is characterized by connected mutually the adjoining electrode plate lug one by one. Thereby, a strap, which conventionally used for connection of the electrode plate lugs become unnecessary and the cylinder form secondary battery having higher weight energy density, is provided.
