PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle motor which can realize a stable rotation of a rotor and also can control the generation of electromagnetic vibrations and noise. SOLUTION: A stator 1 of an outer rotor type spindle motor is provided with an attracting body 6 which gives a preliminary pressure by leading the rotor to an actual position. A recess 14a for accommodating a terminal lead-out portion 13 to a section T1, where the terminal lead-out portion 13 is formed, is formed at the inner circumferential portion of the attracting body 6, a recess 14b is also formed at a section T2, where the terminal lead-out portion 13 is not formed, and the recesses 14a, 14b are disposed at equal intervals.
