PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus of image communication capable of cutting communication times when facsimile-communication image signals of mixed color-and-monochrome information so that capable of reducing communication costs. SOLUTION: In the apparatus possible to communicate the color information, a decision means for color information to decide whether the color information is existing or not in stripe information which is divided manuscript information by dividing the manuscript information to be read into stripes when reading out the manuscript information and a changing means of transmission method to change a transmission method of the stripe information according to the fact whether the color information is included in the stripe information or not are equipped.
