PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hearing aid type external sound processing unit that has a function of objectively measuring a leak amount of sound and displays the measured result, is downsized to be proper to the shape of the ear of a wearing person and has a high sound shield capability. SOLUTION: The external sound processing unit consists of an ear mount unit having a container section in which an external microphone, an internal microphone and a speaker are contained and having a s-sound shield section with a deformation means connected thereto, a signal comparison section that compares a difference between signals from the microphones with a threshold value set by an external setting device, a display section that displays an output signal of the signal comparison section, and the deformation means that acquires an optimum shape of the sound shield section.
