PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a level shift circuit which constitutes a circuit for delivering a signal from a logic circuit of a low power supply voltage to a logic circuit of a high power supply voltage at a low consumption current in a small area. SOLUTION: The circuit has a diode Q3 connected to one polarity side of a high power supply voltage (Vdd2, -Vss2) in forward direction, a first inverter Q1 which is connected with the other polarity side of a power supply voltage (Vdd2, -Vss2) via the diode Q3 and receives an output signal Vi1 of a logic circuit 6 which operates at a low power supply voltage (Vdd1, -Vss1), a second inverter Q2 which is connected to a power supply voltage (Vdd2, -Vss2) and delivers a signal Vo2 to a logic circuit 7 which operates at a power supply voltage (Vdd2, -Vss2) on receiving an output signal Vo1 of a first inverter Q1, and a switch Q4 which operates by an output Vo2 of the second inverter Q2 and short-circuits and open-circuits between one polarity side of a power supply voltage (Vdd2, -Vss2), whereto the diode Q3 is connected, and an input of the first inverter Q1.
