PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noise suppressor with the structure capable of showing a sufficient noise suppressing effect at a low cost without arranging a noise absorbing material in the periphery of a pipe. SOLUTION: This noise suppressor has a main body 10 formed of a cylindrical body 11 sealed at both ends thereof by a front end plate 12 and a rear end plate 13, a lead-in pipe 14 provided in the front end plate, an exhaust pipe 15 provided in the rear end plate, a partition wall 16 for partitioning inside of the main body into a lead-in pipe side diffusion chamber and an exhaust pipe side diffusion chamber, several long size communication bodies passing through the partitioning wall at peripheral positions thereof in the axial direction of the main body to form gas flow passages for communicating between both the ends of the main body, and an outer cylindrical body 31 for surrounding the periphery of the cylindrical body 11. An annular space 33 is formed between the cylindrical body 11 and the outer cylindrical body 31 to reduce the transmission noise.
