A wall plug and gauge assembly (10) comprising a plurality of wall plugs (14) moulded from a suitable plastics material, some of the plurality of wall plugs (14) being of a different size to others for use with different thicknesses of wall and a gauge (20) adapted to determine the thickness of a wall and indicate the appropriate size of plug to be selected for use from said plurality of wall plugs.
