PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to prevent a cell gap from being changed due to a variation in the height of a column spacer and simplify a manufacturing process by re-coating an alignment film on a poor alignment film. CONSTITUTION: The first alignment film(54) is formed on a substrate. When a defect is generated in the first alignment film, the second alignment film(57) is formed on the first alignment film. The second alignment film is thinner than the first alignment film. The second alignment film is aligned in one direction. One of a column spacer(56) or a dielectric structure is formed under the first alignment film.
