PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position specification device whose reliability can be improved without increasing costs.

SOLUTION: Signal sources 2 are arranged along a traveling road 1 at prescribed intervals and a detection element array 5 constituted of a plurality of detection elements 4 and arranged on the vehicle 3 side is constituted of two power supply units 13a, 13b. Operation power is independently supplied from respective power supply circuits 11, 12 to respective power supply units 13a, 13b.
