<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control for a water heater for identifying setting information for the remote control having a power saving function with simple operation and securing power saving effects. <P>SOLUTION: The remote controls 2a, 2b for the water heater each comprise operation parts 7-11 and a display part 4 and the power saving function for clearing the display of the display part 4 when the operation parts 7-11 have no operation for a certain time or no change occurs in the operation of equipment.
