PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent electric shock or electric discharge caused by the disconnection of a high voltage route. SOLUTION: A TV receiver includes: a waveform shaping circuit 23 for outputting a shaping pulse signal 42 being the signal which is acquired by shaping the waveform of a flyback pulse 41; and a microcomputer 13 for controlling an operation as an apparatus. The microcomputer 13 checks whether or not the normal flyback pulse 41 is outputted based on the period of the shaping pulse signal 42, and stops the operation of a horizontal output transistor Q2 when detecting that the normal flyback pulse 41 is not transmitted.
