PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid crystal display wherein an evil of black display due to repair of a point defect is avoided. SOLUTION: Pixel electrodes PX to which video signals from drain signals are supplied via switching elements driven by scanning signals from gate signal lines GL and capacitance elements Cstg formed between the pixel electrodes PX and capacitance signal lines CL via an dielectric film are provided in respective pixel regions on the side of a liquid crystal of one of substrates disposed opposite to each other via the liquid crystal. The pixel region is divided into a plurality of segments and the video signals are supplied to the respective pixel electrodes PX and the respective capacitance elements Cstg in the respective segments through paths branched from the switching elements.
