PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel capable of keeping the waterproofness of a braking part even if the tip end of a sealing material is deformed. SOLUTION: This fishing reel 10 is provided with a braking device 47 having a braking disk 58 to frictionally engage a handle shaft 48 of a reel body 12 with a driving gear 26 rotatably supported by the handle shaft 48 and rotating by the delivery of a fishing line and a sealing member 64 placed between the driving gear 26 and the handle shaft 48 to prevent the intrusion of water to the braking disk 58. A restriction ring wall 53 is formed at least on the side of the braking disk 58 on the outer circumference 55 of a pressing plate 52 contacting with the tip end of the sealing member 64.
