COUPLING ASSEMBLY WITH IMAGE ORIENTATION FUNCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembly for orientating an image obtained by a scope of which the direction can accurately be observed.

SOLUTION: A coupling assembly for a scope and an image sensor housing comprises: an image orientation unit (36); an optical assembly with a rotatable optical element; a rotation sensor; an accelerometer; and a processor which is coupled to the rotation sensor and the accelerometer and receives first and second signals and calculates an orientation property of the images relative to the direction of gravity based on at least part of first and second signals.
