<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peptide having excellent ACE (angiotensin-converting enzyme) inhibitory activity. <P>SOLUTION: The soybean whey protein, one of microcomponents in soybean, is used as a substrate and hydrolyzed with a protease to obtain a peptide of Val-Lys-Pro having high ACE inhibitory activity.
