<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus preventing an image defect result from image formation in a state wherein a transfer roller is mounted in a reverse direction. <P>SOLUTION: When the transfer roller 36 which is detachably mounted on an opening/closing cover 12 is mounted reversely on the opening/closing cover 12, a shaft 36c of the transfer roller 36 and a driving transmission member 56 provided on the shaft 36c, or a distance restriction member 54c provided to the shaft 36c and a projection 12a provided to a front cover 12 interfere with each other, thereby stopping the transfer roller 36 from being mounted in the opposite direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
