A METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR EFFICIENT CONTROL OF DYNAMIC ALLOCATION OF HARQ BUFFER IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A method and a system for a dynamic allocation of an HARQ buffer in a wireless communication system are provided to manage the HARQ buffer by using a dynamic memory control. A system for a dynamic allocation of an HARQ(Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request) buffer in a wireless communication system includes an HARQ retransmission checker(112), an ACK information manager(114), and an HARQ buffer controller(116). The ACK information manager performs a cyclic redundancy check on an HARQ burst. The HARQ buffer controller dynamically controls the HARQ buffer allocated in the respective HARQ channels. The HARQ retransmission checker determines a retransmission of a downlink burst by using HARQ burst information and a previous ACK/NACK result. The HARQ buffer controller generates a flag for clearing or reallocating memory regions and determines a size of the dynamic memory.
