PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure connection while using a communication protocol that is as secure as possible. SOLUTION: When communication is started from a client to a server, a port using a first protocol is used to send information on a certification authority, having signed electronic certificate of the client. Based on the received information on the certification authority, the server searches its own storage device for the electronic certificate of the certification authority; if the electronic certificate exists, the server sends an instruction to the client to redirect to a port that uses a second protocol that is more secure than the first protocol. The client establishes communications by redirecting to the port that uses the second protocol according to the instruction.
