PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk unit which can increase reliability in operation. SOLUTION: An offset specifying circuit 71 specifies an offset Teost_max for minimizing a jitter at the maximum voltage of a voltage V1 (Vfo_max), and an offset Teofst_min for minimizing the jitter at the minimum voltage (Vfo_min) of the voltage V1. An offset supplying circuit 73 determines the offset Teofst based on the values, and gives the offset Teofst to a tracking servo circuit 61 so that the tracking servo circuit 61 can control tracking to minimize the jitter of reproducing signal.
