PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust skewing of an optical pickup well in an optical disk device. SOLUTION: The optical disk device 1 includes an optical pickup part 20 for reading a reproduced signal RF recorded in the recording surface of an optical disk 30 by irradiating the recording surface with an optical beam, actuators MT and MR for adjusting its skewing angle, and an optical pickup driving control unit 10 for controlling the skewing angle adjustment. In the optical pickup driving control unit 10, the rising time and the falling time of a reproduced signal RF read by the optical pickup part 20 are detected by an edge time detecting part 12, and the driving signals of the actuators MT and MR are output by a Skew driver 13 based on the detected rising time and the falling time to control the skewing angle adjustment.
