PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a glass disk for an information recording medium in which an inner peripheral surface and outer peripheral surface of a glass disk laminate, laminated with a number of sheets of the glass disks for the information recording medium, are processed with high accuracy, and also to provide a manufacturing apparatus used in this method. SOLUTION: An integral type core drill 20 in which the glass disk laminate 10 laminated with a number of sheets of the glass disks 12 for the information recording medium is clamped between a holding shaft 29 and a holding pedestal 42, and an inner peripheral knife blade 22 and outer peripheral knife blade 26 are coaxially and integrally constituted, is revolved and driven around the holding shaft 29 and is slidingly moved on the side of the glass disk laminate 10 along the holding shaft 29.
