摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a perpendicular magnetic recording medium having satisfactory heat fluctuation resistance properties and an improved signal to noise ratio, to provide a method for manufacturing the same and to provide a magnetic storage. SOLUTION: A substrate 11, a soft magnetic lining layer 12 formed on the substrate, and a recording layer 18 formed by depositing a first recording layer 19, an auxiliary recording layer 21, and a second recording layer 22 in this order are provided. The first and second recording layers 19, 22 are ferromagnetic layers having an axis of easy magnetization perpendicular to the film plane. The auxiliary recording layer 21 is composed of a plurality of magnetic particles which are approximately perpendicular to the film plane and are isolated from each other by the non-magnetic section 21b. The magnetic particles have the axis of easy magnetization in a direction diagonal to the film plane. The first recording layer 19, the auxiliary magnetic layer 21, and the second recording layer 22 are exchange bonded in the adjacent layers with each other. Further, the perpendicular magnetic recording medium 10 may have an exchange bonding force control layer 20 between the first recording layer 19 and the auxiliary recording layer 21 or between the auxiliary recording layer 21 and the second recording layer 22.
