PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage medium loading device where operation speed is raised by reducing the deceleration ratio of a gear string which moves a sliding part and a support base integrally. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a gear mechanism 14 and a double-acting mechanism 50. The gear mechanism 14 is provided with a slider 6 on which an iVDR 10 is loaded, a slide chassis 4 supporting the slider 6 slidably, and a connector substrate 72 provided at a base chassis and having a connector 8 connected to the iVDR 10, and the gear mechanism 14 is driven by a motor 12. The double-acting mechanism 50 is connected directly with the gear mechanism 14 and can move the slide chassis 4 or keep the stop of the drive chassis 4. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
