WASTE WATER TREATING METHOD AND WASTE WATER TREATING DEVICE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste water treating method capable of converting a nitrogen compound other than ammonia, especially a nitrogen-containing organic compound, to the harmless gas for which the post treatment is not required such as gaseous nitrogen and carbon dioxide and to provide a waste water treating device capable of performing the waste water treating method. SOLUTION: The waste water treating method has the first stage in which the substantial total amount of the waste water is gasified by spraying the waste water containing the nitrogen-containing organic compound to heated space and the second stage in which the gas obtained at the first stage is subjected to catalytic oxidation by a catalyst and the nitrogen-containing organic compound is discharged as the gaseous nitrogen, the carbon dioxide and steam. The waste water treating device is provided with a waste water gasifying means having a sprayer for spraying the waste water, a gasifying part to which the waste water is introduced and the waste water gasified by the gasifying means is discharged and a reaction part in which a catalyst for catalytically oxidizing the gas to be treated discharged from the gasifying part is packed and the treated gas oxidized by the catalyst is discharged.
