PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide deodorizing equipment which can industrially deodorize a large quantity of exhaust gas containing a malodorous substance by using a photocatalyst which can be used in a maintenance-free state and accordingly, at a low running cost. SOLUTION: Ultraviolet-ray permeable particles are mixed in granular carriers carrying the photocatalyst. Honeycomb-like carrier members are arranged in series with gaps among them and ultraviolet rays are projected through the clearances. Projecting holes are bored through a honeycomb-like carrier and ultraviolet-rays are projected through the holes. The ultraviolet rays are projected into the gaps of the carrier constituted of many parallel plates. |
