PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and an imaging method capable of imaging an image having been subjected to trapezoidal correction processing as intended by a user.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: an input device; an image processing unit generating secondary image data having been subjected to deformation processing of projecting primary image data obtained from an imaging element on a plane having predetermined angles to a light reception surface of the imaging element; an image display device displaying an image based upon the secondary image data in synchronism with a frame period; and an AF control unit controlling a focusing operation of an imaging lens. The input device receives an input identifying a position of an AF region in the secondary image data displayed on the image display device. The image processing unit performs conversion processing of projecting the position of the AF region in the secondary image data on the light reception surface. The AF control unit puts the imaging lens in a focusing operation in the AF region projected on the light reception surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
