PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery having improved battery characteristics including cycle characteristics, electric capacity and storage characteristics. SOLUTION: This nonaqueous electrolyte formed by dissolving an electrolyte in a nonaqueous solvent contains a disulfide derivative represented by Formula (I), R1-S-S-R2, where R1, R2 are independently phenyl, benzyl, tolyl, pyridyl, pyrimidy group, an alkyl group having the number of carbon atoms being 1 to 12 or a cycloalkyl group having the number of carbon atoms being 3 to 6. The content x of the derivative (% by weight) is 0.01<x<0.05 in terms of the weight of the nonaqueous electrolyte. The lithium secondary battery uses the same. |
