PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device shortened in the time required until the start of image forming by accelerating the heating of a heat utilizing means in the image forming device using the heat utilizing means utilizing heat for image forming. SOLUTION: A heat roller 32 is heated by a heating element and fixes an image formed on a recording medium 34. When image forming is designated to a recording control part 35, heating of the roller 32 is started. At such a time, the operation of a cooling fan 33 is stopped so as to accelerate the heating. Thus, the time required until the roller 32 reaches a specified temperature is shortened. When the temperature of the roller 32 detected by a temperature sensor reaches the specified temperature, the rotation of the fan 33 is started to perform heat radiation in the device. |
