The present invention relates to a cylindrical secondary battery, in which an electrode assembly having a winding structure is built into a cylindrical battery case in an electrolyte-impregnated state, while the electrode assembly has a cathode, an anode, and a separation membrane interposed between the cathode and the anode, and a cap assembly is mounted on an open upper end of the cylindrical battery case. The cathode of the electrode assembly has two or more cathode non-coated portions where no cathode mixture is applied on a current collector. Cathode tabs attached to protrude upward from the respective cathode non-coated portions are welded at superposed parts to form a welded portion. One side end of at least one of the cathode tabs or one side end of the welded portion is welded to a lower end of the cap assembly. The anode of the electrode assembly has two or more anode non-coated portions where no anode mixture is applied on the current collector. Anode tabs attached to protrude downward from the respective anode non-coated portions are welded to an inner surface at a lower end of the battery case.
