1. A mechanical arrangement of a multilevel power converter circuit for a single phase leg, comprising:
a first inverter portion including (i) three or more direct current (DC) voltage input ports, and (ii) a first plurality of capacitors electrically coupled to the DC voltage input ports, and (iii) only one alternating current (AC) voltage output port, the first portion corresponding to a first half of the phase leg; a second inverter portion including (i) the three or more DC voltage input ports, and (ii) a second plurality of capacitors electrically coupled to the DC voltage input ports, and (iii) the one AC voltage output port, the second portion corresponding to the other half of the phase leg; wherein each capacitor of the first plurality of capacitors forms a parallel capacitor with a corresponding one of the capacitors of the second plurality of capacitors. |
