<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag capable of more quickly and further effectively stabilizing expanded shape and its device using it. SOLUTION: Central circular part 5a of a tether strap 5 is attached to stitched to a front panel 4a of a passenger's side of the air bag 4, and furthermore, each tip of arm 5b, 5c of the tether strap 5 is retained to interpose between a retainer 2 and a ring-shaped fastening implement 8 for the air bag by tightening implements 10, 11, thereby being firmly secured. Even though tensile force is applied to tension member 9 comprising the tether strap 5 in event of developing expansion of the airbag, the lower end of the tension member 9 does not move so that the lower end of the tension member 9 is firmly secured to the retainer 2 and the ring-shaped fastening implement 8. Accordingly, the tension member 9 hardly oscillates and securely constrains the expanded shape of the air bag 4 and the expanded shape of the air bag is more quickly and further effectively stabilized.</p> |
