Condiment consists of salt admixed with (A) 0.1-0.5 (pref. 0.1-0.2) wt. %, w.r.t. salt, of a terpene-free lemon oil bonded to a powdery carrier and (B) terpene-free liq. lemon oil. The condiment is prepd. by mixing the dry salt with component (A), spraying the mixt. with (B) and mixing through, e.g. in a mixing screw. The condiment can be used in fish and meat dishes and salads, and its use saves labour in serving and preparing food. The mixt. is homogeneous and resists storage. (A) acts, to some extent, as an anti-agglomerant. |
