Sealing arrangement between an outboard propulsion unit and the hull of a boat

The invention relates to a sealing arrangement between an outboard propulsion unit and the hull of a boat, the outboard propulsion unit being attached to a motor and being secured on a mounting bed on the hull and projecting down through an opening formed in the hull. To seal off a space between hull and propulsion unit, a sealing diaphragm is fastened to the hull and the propulsion unit. An annular sealing flange arranged above the sealing diaphragm projects from the mounting bed towards the propulsion unit, and an annular seal is provided between the propulsion unit and the sealing flange for sealing off a space lying in between, both ends of the annular seal being fastened to the propulsion unit and to the sealing flange. A water sensor attached to an early warning device is arranged in a space between the sealing diaphragm and the annular seal.
