PURPOSE:To prevent any electrolyte leakage and increase the life of a fused- salt fuel cell by interposing electrolyte between a tile and gas-diffusing electrodes so as to bring them into close contact with the tile including the electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:A tile 6 is placed between an air electrode 7 and a fuel electrode 8 which are used as gas-diffusing electrodes in sandwich-like form with a pasty electrolyte 9 interposed between the tile 6 and the gas-diffusing electrodes 7 and 8. After that, the gas-diffusing electrodes 7 and 8 are clamped by means of outer frames 12 and 13 with current collectors 10 and 11 interposed. By thus interposing the pasty electrolyte 9 between the tile 6 and the gas-diffusing electrodes 7 and 8, resistance caused during electric generation is reduced, the voltage-current characteristic is improved and a large current can be taken out. |
