PURPOSE:To take an excellent hard copy with irreducible necessary luminous intensity and to prevent deterioration of film by providing a means which varies the intensity of illumination on a film surface in taking the hard copy when a film picture is projected on a screen in reader mode. CONSTITUTION:When the film picture is projected on the screen by using a cylindrical lens 10 as a luminous intensity converting means, the cylindrical lens 10 is put off an optical path. At this time, light L1 from a light source 1 illuminates the film 3 through a condenser lens 2 and its transmitted light is projected on the screen by a projection lens 4. The cylindrical lens 10 is put on the optical path for printing and the light L1 from the light source 1 is guided to illuminate the film 3 through the cylindrical lens 10 and a condenser lens 2. In this case, even when the intensity of illumination on the film surface increases, the area of illumination decreases and the time when one point on the film is irradiated is shortened, so the deterioration of the film 3 is prevented. |
